Chaos is among us all.
Why? WhatsApp is down. We repeat – WhatsApp. Is. Down.
Nigerians and people from all over the globe have reported not being able to use the hugely popular app.
The app went offline at around 9pm with thousands quickly taking to social media to discuss the outage.
It was unclear what had caused the problems on Wednesday evening or when WhatsApp would be back up and running.
Users are currently being faced with the ‘timer of doom’ when they attempt to send a message – and at the top of the app it just says ‘connecting’.
Many posted memes and jokes on Twitter about how the world would be coping with the loss of the app.

Relationship Problems! Top 5 Signs Of Emotionally-abusive Lovers

When we hear the word abuse in relationships, what comes to mind is physical assault and domestic violence.
It is not hard to understand why this happens – physical abuse is the most visible form and it seems to be all around us, in reality and in the news.
But physical abuse is not the only form of abuse and according to Inemesit Udodiong, it is not even the worst.
On the last episode of Love, Sex and Everything else, the presenter says with physical abuse you can “see the signs. You can say, ‘hey, look, I have been abused, I have been violated, I’ve been assaulted.’
But with emotional abuse, your brain is messed up, and half the time you are left wondering maybe you are even the problem [when in truth, you should never feel that way because you’re the one being abused]”
So, what are the signs you’ll see in an emotionally-abusive partner, or one who has such tendencies?
1. They try to isolate you
“There is nothing wrong with a partner trying to have you themselves,” the presenter says.
If, however, that partner freaks out everytime you try to hang out with friends and colleagues, or becomes uncomfortable when you make efforts to stay in close quarters with your family members, then that might be a sign that they will prey on your emotions.
People need other people as support systems, and abusive people know this. So they detach you totally from these people till they are all you have, and that is when the abuse will begin – when you have no one to run to, no option but to stick right there with them.
2. Overly critical
If you are with someone who constantly sees no good in what you do, whom you can’t please or do right by, Inem says that is one of the signs you’ll need in identifying that such person is an emotionally-abusive partner.
“They are constantly criticizing you,” she says. “What that does,” she further says, “is that it messes with your self-esteem and before you know it you are feeling like ‘Ok, maybe there’s something wrong with me’”
3. Too domineering and jealous
One other way of recognizing an emotionally-abusive partner is that they are unnecessarily possessive and try to control everything about you.
Being in a relationship should never totally rid you of your freedom, and should not erode all your sense of self.
There is nothing wrong with a little jealousy, and partners cannot be blamed for feeling a little stressed at the prospect of losing their other halves.
But when jealousy is exhibited in the extreme, it could be a form of emotional abuse.
4. Emotionally unstable
When you see someone who has regular violent outbursts and terrible mood swings, that should serve as the warning you need to stay away from them.
Being with someone who goes swiftly from 0-100 will always leave you in a limbo. You do not know what to expect from them. You do not know what will trigger their outbursts and you’ll be left walking on eggshells half of the time.
This is a form of emotional abuse in the sense that you are never sure of what to feel around such person. That, surely, is not how one is supposed to feel around anyone they are in love with.
5. Always blaming you
Partners who never take responsibility for what they do are in this category too.
By never accepting the blame, they make you feel like they can never do wrong, and with time you start finding a way to blame yourself for every wrong thing that happens even when you are obviously not.

Update: See The Amount The Second Woman Was Stopped From Jumping Into Lagos Lagoon Is Owing As She Finally Speaks

The Lagos State Police has released an official statement, disclosing why the lady who was rescued today from jumping into the Lagos Lagoon by 11:25a.m wanted to do it.
The statement reads;
“Shortly after the report of Mrs. Abigael Ogunyinka who was rescued by fishermen in Lagos Lagoon early Friday morning, another woman was today prevented at about 11:25 a.m from leaping into the Lagoon by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos state Police Command.
“The lady, Taiwo Momoh, 58, a textile dealer in Lagos Island, had put off her shoes and was wrapping her dress around her when men of RRS 226 prevented her from jumping.
The lady, who lives in Lekki Lagos, disclosed that she was pushed to committing suicide in order to put an end to her constant sleeplessness and shame occasioned by her indebtedness to three Swiss textile dealers.
“She noted that her problem started sometimes in 2015, when a Bureau De Change dealer carted away her N18.7 million she wanted to change to pay her foreign creditors.
“Her condition she said became compounded when robbers invaded her shop in Lagos Island carting away most of the textiles that was left with her.
“She emphasized that most of the time, she has been having sleepless nights and seeing the ghosts of the creditors whenever she was alone.
“Momoh, a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God disclosed that on several occasions she had attempted to see her Parish Pastor to identify with her problem and for the church to help her raise money to meet her Swiss Creditors in order to assure them that she would pay their money.
“She noted that she was only allowed to see the second in command, which has yielded no fruits.
“Added to all these, my first son, whom I felt would stand by me and console me abandoned me. By the time I’m gone, maybe he would come around and inherit what is left.
“I don’t want to use my debt and death to disturb anybody. I was in the shop this morning. I have looked everywhere and estimated what is there.
“I think, with my house, a bungalow, those I am leaving behind can still live comfortably. I want to go and meet God. This world is empty.
“I won’t because I want to get rich join cult group. I go my way and I don’t socialize unnecessarily.
“I was a Muslim, I have because of this problem been jumping from one faith to the other. The problem is too much for me to bear. I want to go back to God.
“That is why I have dressed very simply. I am ready to meet HIM.
If He cannot address my problem on earth, let me go back to Him.”

Football Is Not Just About Winning Trophies- Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said football is not just about winning trophies.
Wenger stated this while defending his record during his 20 years in charge of the Gunners and insists he has built an “absolutely remarkable” club.
The 67-year-old has come under serious pressure recently with the team performing below par, but reports say he has been offered a two-year contract extension.
Wenger has not won the league title since 2004 and in an interview with beIN Sports, he was quick to point out that Liverpool have never won it in the Premier League era.
“For me Arsenal is the best club in the world and what we have built is absolutely remarkable, not only on the results front but on the values that this club, what we have built. Of course a football club is about winning, it’s as well about values.
“Nobody talks about that anymore but sport is as well about values and I think integrity, respect, humility, togetherness are very important qualities and if you would visit our club you would see that they really exist on a daily basis. That is part of what I am proud as well.
“You can basically say that if you don’t win the championship it is not a successful season and I can understand that but you take clubs like Liverpool and they have not won the Premier League, they are a big club.
“You have clubs like Man City, Man United, certainly the championship will be won by Chelsea so we have all, and no matter how many we are, Tottenham, all these clubs, every year only one will win it,” Wenger said.

I had conceived the baby in my womb before we fell apart three months later, so I had the baby and have taken care of her all by myself since she was born.
