8 Things You MUST Know About Dating A Girl In Her Late 20s (Number 3 Is So True)

If you’re falling for a girl in her late 20s, here are a few things you should know.

1. She doesn’t need you.

She’s used to doing it all herself. She’s got a trick for opening jars that are stuck, a step stool for changing that ceiling light, and she’s gotten pretty damn good at putting together furniture that comes in 1,000 pieces from Ikea. She’s used to not asking for help, so she won’t.
If you want to lend her a hand, don’t ask her. Just reach up and change that light bulb when you see her coming through with the step stool.

2. She lives a full life.

She’s got friendships that date back over a decade, a job that’s well past entry level, and hobbies that she’s been at for years. It’s not that she doesn’t want to see you; it’s just that she’s not about to break her Thursday happy hour traditions just because you showed up and fell in love with her.

3. She doesn’t want games.

She just doesn’t have the time. You’ll know how she’s feeling because she’ll tell you, like a grown up. And she’ll expect you to do the same.

4. She knows what she wants.

If she’s in love with you too, you’ll know, because she’ll be consistent. She’ll text you back in a reasonable amount of time and won’t be wishy-washy about making plans.

5. Her wild party days are behind her.

Not to say that she won’t turn up on a Saturday night, but she’s over the FOMO and will choose to spend the night in when she needs it.

6. She will drag you to a LOT of weddings.

Her friends are all getting married and she’s going to be thrilled to have a dependable plus one to bring along with her for the celebration. Hope you don’t have any plans this spring.

7. She’ll occasionally talk about an ex, and that shouldn’t freak you out.

If you’re dating a girl in her late 20s, chances are she’s been through a few serious relationships. So rather than tell you about the time she backpacked through Europe and leave you to ask, “Who’d you go with?” she’s just going to straight up tell you. Not because she wants to set up expectations or draw comparisons, but because she has big life experiences that she wants to tell you about.

8. It’s not going to be easy.

In her early 20s, she’d fall in love easily and put everything she had into it. But there’s a quota on how many times you can love like that before you start to guard your heart, and by her late 20’s she’s likely hit that mark. You’ll have to prove to her that you’re interested in her for the long term, not just something for right now.
If you love a girl in her late 20s, she’ll be the real deal. You’ll be dating a grown a*s woman who won’t keep you guessing, but will still manage to surprise you the more you fall for her.

We’re trying hard to create better relationships in the world. But we can’t do it without YOU! Did this feature help you better yourself or your relationship? You can change someone else’s life too.

Edo Election: PDP, Ize-Iyamu Reject Governorship Election Results

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has rejected the results of the Edo governorship election held on Wednesday, ahead of the announcement of the outcome.

The party had warned INEC that it would not accept any result different from what was announced at the various polling units in the state.
The PDP rejected the results in a press conference addressed by its Chairman in the state, Mr Dan Orbih, on Thursday in Benin.

The press conference was also attended the party’s governorship candidate in the election, Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Both the party and it’s candidate said they rejected the results because they were “fabricated and a pre-determined” by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Edo Government.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that INEC was announcing the results of the poll as at the time of filing this report.

Orbih said that the results as they were being announced by the INEC, were at a complete variance with what the party got from it agents and independent observers.

He alleged that the two-week extension of the poll by the electoral body was to allow for more time to perfect the manipulation of the process.
“You will recall that our state Publicity Secretary had briefed the press less than 48 hours to the elections on what is playing out now.

“If you go by the results that were announced at the polling units and wards across the state, it shows that PDP would have won by over 30,000 votes.

“What INEC is announcing is clearly different from what we got from our agents and independent observers in the 192 wards and over 2,000 units across the state.

“We are rejecting these results as they were being announced by INEC and we are coming out early enough to make this known,” he said.

The chairman said the cancellation of some results on the basis of failed card reader was part of a deliberate plan to also manipulate the poll.
He alleged that the areas where results were canceled were strongholds of the PDP.

“I wonder what the Incident Form is for. Voters should not be made to suffer unduly for the inefficiency of card readers,” he said.

He said the results as were being announced by INEC, were clearly at variance with the widely acclaimed voter- turnout that was also acknowledged by the electoral umpire itself.

On his part, the governorship candidate said he aligned himself with the position of the party.
“The results are not a true reflection of what happened in the field. The INEC only played a script written by the Government of Edo,” he said.

A packed commuter train crashed into a station in New Jersey during the morning rush hour Thursday, officials said, with more than 100 people reportedly injured.

The train failed to stop as it pulled into the transit hub of Hoboken, just over the Hudson river from New York, according to early photographs of the accident released by AFP.

Train crash in New Jersey “Due to a NJ Transit train derailment at #Hoboken Station, NJ, all PATH train service in and out of Hoboken Station is suspended,” New York’s official emergency information system tweeted.

New Jersey’s emergency management system was reporting more than 100 people injured, while the New Jersey transit service said there were “multiple” injuries, ABC News reported.
Images on social media showed serious damage to the train station, with part of the roof apparently caved in.

Video showed the station in shambles with the train tangled in wires and debris from what appeared to be collapsed portions of the roof. Emergency vehicles converged on the scene in response to the crash.

Edo Election Update: APC And PDP Candidates In Tight Race

The Edo State governorship election, held on Wednesday, is a tight race between the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Godwin Obaseki and Peoples Democratic Party’s Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Early results from Wards in the state, which had not been authenticated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, indicated that the two candidates were running neck and neck in the poll.

The two parties, however, claimed to have gained comfortable lead in the election while accusing each other of planning to rig the poll.

While unconfirmed results showed that the PDP won seven out of the eight units in Ward 3, Uromi in the Esan North-East Local Government Area, where a former chairman of the BoT of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih, hails from, the APC won one unit.

Also, the APC lost in the polling unit of the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, where the PDP emerged victorious.
The APC, on its own, won in Ward 7 in the Oredo Local Government Area of the state.

The APC scored 4,412 votes while the PDP got 4,047 votes.

The governorship candidate of the PDP in the 2012 election in the state, Charles Airhiavbere, who is now in APC, led the party to beat the PDP in Unit 18, 19, 20 and 21 of Ward one in Oredo LGA.

In Unit 18, PDP got 158 while the APC got 259. In Unit 19, APC scored 146 and PDP polled 85.

In Unit 20, the APC got 259 votes while the PDP polled 208 votes and in Unit 21, the APC scored 128 votes leaving the PDP with 98 votes.

In Oredo Ward 12, out of the accredited 4,399 voters, the PDP took the lead with 2,066, leaving the APC with 2,041.

In Oredo Ward 4, out of the total accredited voters of 4,911, the APC scored 3,058 while the PDP polled 1,541.

PDP national leadership alleged on Wednesday night that APC was planning to overturn its alleged victory in the Edo State governorship election.

The party said the results it received from its agents in the state indicated that it was leading the APC with a wide merging in the election.
Spokesperson for the party and member of its National Caretaker Committee, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye, stated this in a statement in Abuja.

Adeyeye said, “Having received results from our agents at approximately 1,800 of the 2,627 polling units spread across the 192 wards in the 18 local government areas of Edo State, we can confirm that our party has attained a near unassailable lead in the Edo State governorship election.

“The results so far confirmed to us that our candidate has garnered approximately 55 per cent of the total votes cast by voters.’’

He alleged that the PDP was aware of the alleged connivance between the state government and a national commissioner at INEC to rig the election in favour of the ruling party in the state.

PDP’s Adeyeye, a former minister of state for works, added, “We will like to reiterate our earlier note of warning: The Edo people and our party will resist any attempt to subvert the collective will of the people as expressed by their votes today.”

He urged members and supporters of the party in the state to continue guarding their votes at the ward collation centres and the local government collation centres.

“Eternal vigilance is the price we all have to pay for victory,” he added.
APC accuses PDP of mischief
Reacting to claims by the PDP, the APC said the opposition party was being mischievous “as usual”.

APC National Vice-Chairman (South), Mr. Segun Oni, said, “The PDP is simply being mischievous. From the results I have seen from the field, from where we are monitoring the elections here in Abuja, the APC is in a comfortable lead.

“Out of a hundred, PDP has not won five, even in units they claim to have won. We are investigating because the number of voters exceeds the number of registered voters per unit.”
Meanwhile, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 5, Isaac Eke, described the election as very peaceful.

“The process has been peaceful; there was no hindrance to voters to exercise their franchise.”

“We Can’t Participate In The World Cup Qualifiers Because We Are Too Broke” – NFF Open Up

The Nigerian Football Federation has said it cannot afford to fly the Super Eagles to Zambia for next month’s third-round World Cup qualifier, CNN Africa reports.

According to the media platform, the NFF said it is pleading to Globacom for aid.
“As we speak, we don’t have any kobo (a denomination of Nigeria’s naira currency) in our purse,” an unnamed member of the NFF told CNN Africa.
“The charges for the Airline alone is $200,000 for a 140-seater plane, and it will be on ground with the team for two days,” the spokesman added.

“We need between $6,000 and $10,000 for flight ticket(s) to bring in the players (from Europe),” he said.
The NFF member also noted that players will be due a further $95,0000 each in bonuses, stating that the only way forward is to receive support from the Nigerian government.

“The federal government still has to play its part, because this is the beginning of our campaign for the 2018 World Cup qualifying ticket. If we must get it right, every hand must be on deck,” he said.
