Denrele Edun Finally Breaks Silence On Feud With Bobrisky, SEE How He Reacted To The BEEF

Tv host, Denrele Edun finally breaks silence over feud with Nigeria ‘Barbie Doll’ also known as Bobrisky.

Denrele dispelled any rumours of hitting back at Bobrisky, citing that it’s a normal thing for people to throw shades at you, just like he (Bobrisky) did to him.

“I have not even said anything. I know he has been throwing shades, it’s a normal thing; people would definitely talk your talk, no matter what, but leave it at that,”

He also stated that in an industry like ours, he can never speak ill of anyone’s hustle, further showing strong support for Bobrisky.

“Bobrisky, keep going on and doing your thing, the industry is for all of us, sell your market, it would never depreciate, it will never run down, but remember, always do your contour (laughs).”

It would be recalled that the Nigeria’s male barbie as he is fondly called, trended on social media after he allegedly received N7m from his lover, flaunted it and got busted for being a fake rich boy.

Somehow, Denrele got dragged into the messy drama and was mocked by lots of people who asked how come he’s not getting all these amounts of money Bobrisky claimed he was getting.

Man Claims He Can Tell Woman’s Fortune By Touching Her Br3ast (Photos)

A bizarre video has emerged online which shows a man allegedly predicting a woman’s future by touching her breast.
The footage is believed to be filmed in China and has been shared on social media. The eight-second clip was posted on Miaopai, a short-video sharing platform in China, on September 8.
It was uploaded by a user named Xiao Yuwen, who claims to be a travel photographer from China’s Yunan Province. Xiao wrote in the post:

‘Fortune telling by touching the breast, this man is taking great advantage.’

In the short video, a bespectacled man can be seen touching a woman’s breast. The man, who is believed to be a fortune teller, held a pair of crutches in the other hand.
The woman can be seen staring at him with a puzzled face.
The pair were surrounded by a group of people as the alleged fortune-telling was taking place.
However, there was no conversation between the fortune-teller and woman in the video.
Many social media users thought the fortune-teller had gone too far.
One user said on Weibo, a Twitter-like platform in China: ‘This is disgusting.’

While another sounded confused:

‘What happens if a man comes for fortune telling, will he still touch his breast?’

Siasia Gives NFF Two Weeks Ultimatum To Pay His Salaries Or He Will SIT Inside Their Office Till He Gets PAID

Samson Siasia, Nigeria’s former under-23 coach, has given the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) a two-week ultimatum to settle its debt to him.

Siasia says the NFF owes him five months’ salary arrears from the start of April to August 2016.
The 49-year-old led the country to a bronze medal finish at the Rio Olympics. Barely five weeks after ending his two-year contract on a high, Siasia said his patience is fast running out.

“I have given them a two week ultimatum to pay me or I will sit inside the NFF office in Abuja until I get paid,” Siasia told BBC Sport.
“The national team is preparing for a World Cup qualifier and to be honest my unhealthy distractions are the last thing they need right now.

“I’ve made it clear in my letter that my assistants and I should be paid the backlog owed because it’s inhuman.
“As head of our families we sacrificed everything for the country but the NFF refused to pay us – it’s not only heartless but wicked,” he said.

‘I’m In Good Health,’ Shekau Resurfaces In New Video

In the 40 minutes video, Shekau refuted claims that he was injured, saying he is in good health.

The embattled leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has again appeared in a ‘new video’ weeks after the Nigerian Army said he is gravely wounded in a military airstrikes.
According to Vanguard, in the 40 minutes video, which Pulse is yet to obtain, Shekau refuted claims that he was injured, saying he is in good health.’

“You have been spreading in the social media that you injured or killed me,” the terrorists’ leader was quoted to have said in the video.
“Oh tyrants, I’m in a happy state, in good health and in safety.”
The army had on August 23 said that Shekau was seriously wounded in the shoulder in an air raid in which several Boko Haram commanders were killed.

Following the claim, a Boko Haram video was released on September 13 without Shekau in it, which supported the army’s narrative.
That video showed an unidentified man who said he was representing Shekau, who had allegedly been ousted by the Islamic State group to which Boko Haram pledged allegiance in March 2015.

Omg! Yemen Air Strike Kills 9 Members Of Same Family Including Children

A Saudi-led coalition air strike in Yemen killed nine members of the same family, including several children, on Sunday in the southwestern rebel-held city of Ibb, witnesses and medics said.

Eleven neighbours were also wounded when the family’s house, on the southern edge of the mountain city, was hit during a night of intense air strikes, witnesses said.
Medics at the city’s main hospital confirmed they had received nine bodies, including those of women and children.

The house was next to a vocational college that Iran-backed Huthi rebels have converted into a military base and arms depot, witnesses said.
The air strikes came amid growing international criticism of the Arab coalition over the mounting toll of civilian casualties in its campaign against the rebels.
Huthi rebels and troops loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh control Ibb and swathes of Yemeni territory including the capital Sanaa, which they seized in September 2014.
Since the coalition intervened in March last year, government forces have managed to push rebels out of five southern provinces, including the port city of Aden.

More than 6,000 people have been killed in Yemen since the start of the Saudi-led campaign, more than half of them civilians, according to the United Nations.
The UN warned on Friday of rising civilian casualties, saying that 180 people were killed and 268 injured in August, a 40 percent rise on the previous month.
On Wednesday, at least 20 civilians died in air strikes on the rebel-held Red Sea city of Hodeida that the coalition said targeted “Huthi leaders”.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon condemned the strikes on Hodeida, calling for “urgent measures to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure”.

UPDATE:- UK Anti-Corruption Police Lands In Nigeria To Grill Top Oil Dealers Over Diezani Loot

The heat is on! A7-person team of anti-corruption police officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) is currently in Nigeria to interview associates and accomplices of former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The British detectives, comprising of four women and three men, were in Nigeria as part of efforts to build a solid case in order to commence the former minister’s trial.
According to SR, one of the major players being interrogated by the UK detectives is Donald Chidi Amamgbo, a California-based lawyer. A source disclosed that Mr. Amamgbo played a key role in moving funds wired by several Nigerian oil dealers with whom Mrs. Alison-Madueke had fraudulent deals running into billions of dollars.
The source said that the detectives had already interrogated a controversial oil sector businessman, Jide Omokore, adding that the businessman had provided critically useful information on some of the deals. Mr. Omokore is currently on bail after the EFCC arrested and charged him for fraud.
Mr. Amamgbo was briefly detained by the EFCC, but granted “administrative bail.”
The UK investigative team is also expected to interrogate oil dealers who were close to Diezani, and who played one role or another in a web of international financial crimes during the former minister’s helm.

The source stated that some of the players being sought by British investigators for interviews are outside of Nigeria. One such participant, Benny Peters, is currently holed up in Paris, France. Another one, Igho Sanomi, is believed to be in Miami, Florida at the moment.
The source revealed that UK investigators were looking into close to 20 cases against Mrs. Alison-Madueke. However, the case that has the most traction has to do with how the former minister allegedly used straw companies set up by Mr. Amamgbo to launder billions of dollars. Some of the laundered funds were used to purchase 17 properties in the UK and elsewhere.
According to SR source, the oil dealers under investigation reportedly offered large payoffs to Mrs. Alison-Madueke for oil swap deals. The payoffs were often wired directly to Mr. Amamgbo, who then acted as a front for the former minister. An unnamed UK lawyer of Indian descent is also being investigated for his alleged involvement in the case.

Diezani is currently in the UK undergoing treatment for cancer. The NCA had earlier confiscated some funds from the former minister, her mother, and the wife of a Ghanaian businessman, Kevin Okyere, who is also named in a series of shady deals involving Mrs. Alison-Madueke.

Believe It Or Not, This Buhari Government Is Failing…- Dele Momodu Writes

I’ve just received a call from a businessman who believes so much in Buhari but feels the man has been encircled by desperate political jobbers who are not bothered whether he fails or succeeds.

They are only interested in the allure and lucre of power, he says and he may not be far from the truth.
I wish to say categorically and with all emphasis at my command that Buhari government is flailing. And only the ubiquitous hypocrites and cheer leaders would fail to say it as it is, that the grunts of the people are fast turning into deafening lamentations.
No amount of approbation by a President Obama can detract from the plaintive suffering and cries of the Nigerian people. Indeed, much as I love Obama, we must remember that his primary interest is America and the fight against corruption which is a sub-plot in America’s fight against terrorism.
In case our dear President is unaware, and he feels only the wailing wailers are grumbling, I wish to assure him that this is not the case. Some of the President’s friends and supporters are deeply worried at the sad turn of events. They are wondering what went wrong and what can be done to turn the dangerous slide around. In fact, everything looks to them like a bad dream, a nightmare in reality. But on a personal note, I don’t think the situation is as irredeemable as it seems. The solution lies squarely on the President’s table. Only he can salvage his government from this stupendous slump from grace to grass.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s biggest equity is in his legendary incorruptibility. He must have assumed that this equity is rock solid and unassailable. But while the people truly want a reduction in the level of corruption and general indiscipline, you must replace something with something. Buhari’s team believes the problem they have is as a result of waging a relentless war on corrupt people and the freebies that have suddenly frozen up for their friends and acolytes. Not so simple folks.

Where are the jobs to occupy and engage the innocent beneficiaries of corruption? A lot of those who had jobs have lost their means of livelihood. Companies are sacking their workers, as if with a vengeance. Foreign investors are running helter-skelter and many have closed shop already running back to wherever they came from. Everyone wants stability and not sermons. And there is no stability, either in the polity, in the economy, in our currency or indeed in our social life.
Unfortunately, this government has been very high on proselytising and low on performance. Their swansong has become abysmally boring. The people are now less interested in the results of President Jonathan’s recklessness in office but more in President Buhari’s remedial panacea.

It is shocking that 16 months after our friends took over power they are not yet tired of moaning and groaning about Jonathan. But we sacked Jonathan because we knew and felt his case was very bad.
We supported Buhari because of the mystic that he had the magic wand. We didn’t want to be accused in the future of wasting yet another best President Nigeria should have had, after Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. That is why we worked assiduously for a man we had rejected serially in the past. We must beg this government to wake up from its deep slumber. It would be a huge embarrassment and an unmitigated disaster if it fails. So many Nigerians risked everything to midwife this change. I’m willing to support this government to the very end but they should please listen to our pleas and humble suggestions.
The President needs to re-energise his team. Nigeria is too big and too bold to be controlled by a timid cabinet. We need eagles who can fly high. We should be able to find them in a country of nearly 200 million people. There is no doubt that President Buhari has some good hands in his team but most of them have refused to fly, because they are scared. Many have melted into oblivion and irrelevance. We do not need to mention names. Some jobs are so visible that we do not require masquerades to handle. Some jobs require common-sense and not loquacious rabblerousing. Some members of the team have attracted public odium to this government. They make Buhari look so pitiably bad and that should not be so.
The human rights records should also have been better handled and managed during this second coming after the massive damage he suffered in the past. Fighting wars on all fronts from day one distracted and occupied the government. That game-plan was clearly faulty. They should have known that the temperament and tone of a democratic government is ostensibly different from that of a military junta. I once read that too much anger sometimes beclouds reasoning. The government failed to take certain steps to mitigate against the expected backlash of its many wars. It did not reason that hungry people are not always reasonably tolerant of the cause of their social conditions.
No one is sure if President Buhari was ever inclined or advised by his team to plan its offensive well or if he thought he had the same omnipotent power he had from 1983-85. He would have waited a bit and stabilised his government before unleashing mayhem against the enemies of state. I’m told surprise is one of the deadliest strategies in warfare. Most of the looted resources would have remained in our banks if government had not shown its fangs too early. As a lay man in Economics, I will never understand and appreciate the decision to ban people from paying dollars into their own accounts. What did it matter if dollar was paid in cash or by transfer? That was the beginning of the free-fall of our currency down the economic ladder. A large chunk of the money looted has invariably vamoosed into foreign vaults or under some beds or dug-up holes. Shame!
I strongly recommend that the President rejigs his cabinet, especially his economic team and even replace some of the members. This is what a bank would do if some of its managers were not meeting their targets. No manager is too big to be fired by football clubs. There is nothing new under the sun about this approach to governance. There are so many global examples. In 2014, when Saudi Arabia experienced a surge after the outbreak of the deadly Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (MERS) disease, Saudi King Abdullah fired his Health Minister Abdullah al Rabeeah. In July this year, President Raul Castro of Cuba removed his Minister of Economy Marino Murillo from his portfolio amid the economic hardship that was plaguing the country. Just two weeks ago, Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos fired the country’s Finance Minister Armando Manuel. Manuel had presided over an economic recession caused by a sharp dip in oil prices that weakened dollar inflows, hammered the Angolan Kwanza, leading to heavy government borrowing.
The President should borrow from such examples and do the needful without further delay. I’m happy that even the National Assembly is thinking along the same lines. The government does not have time on its hands and at its disposal. Two years would soon evaporate and the third year will come knocking. It has to start working for those Nigerians who put their fate and faith in the hands of Buhari. We have had enough of the blatant excuses that sound more like expressions of hopelessness and helplessness, thus leading to deja vu.
A few priorities must be tackled speedily. None is greater than the issue of power generation which is already witnessing appreciable progress. I believe the Minister of Power, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, should be allowed to concentrate strictly on power and give his other portfolios to equally competent people. I would love to see a former Governor Donald Duke take over works. I do not care WHICH PARTY HE BELONGS. I have deliberately mentioned this great Nigerian who could easily have been our own Obama if we were a country where merit and achievement catapulted people into the highest office. This government would do well to consider a government of National Unity. Since the suffering we are enduring does not discriminate along Party lines, the solution should not ostracise any capable Nigerian.
On the economy, President Buhari should invite and involve the best brains at home and abroad including non-Nigerians. The Bank of England brought in an expert from Canada as its Governor. Dubai invited a Briton to run one of the most ambitious airports on planet Earth. The London Gatwick Airport was sold to a consortium led by a Nigerian. Ghana has just built a world-class Cargo section by Swissport. Before our very eyes, Ghana is attracting the biggest aviation businesses in West Africa. The world has moved beyond our jejune and archaic style of doing things. Our parastatals have become too unwieldy and totally wasteful. We have so many agencies all over the places managing nothing but eating everything. That does not mean a wholesale sale of our national assets but recourse to effective and efficient lean management wherever that may come from. I say emphatically, nothing would change unless we change our retrogressive ways.
Instructively, the National Assembly and the Executive arms of government must cut down on government expenditure drastically.

The National Assembly is making sense with some of its recommendations but it is has to go beyond that by actually implementing those recommendations and putting pressure on the Executive to do the same. All the legislative aides, executive aides, delegations to foreign assignments and government’s fleet of aircrafts and motorcades are atrociously over-bloated and unnecessary. I stumbled on a video footage of President Vladimir Putin of Russia’s motorcade. It had nothing more than four (4) vehicles accompanied with escort motorbikes. In 2012, President Putin even went as far as announcing that he and his prime minister will work more from home to cut the disruption caused by their motorcades in the city of Moscow. That is Russia, a global super-power making an effort to run a leaner and more effective governance structure.

In Ghana where I have lived for over a decade, I have seen the simplicity of the Presidential system of governance from Rawlings to Kufuor to the late Atta Mills and now John Dramani Mahama. Her Majesty, the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II in all the glory of her monarchy goes around in a simple motorcade of usually two or three vehicles. The accompanying vehicles are oftentimes unmarked.

But the case of Nigeria is a stark contrast. It sometimes looks as if we are war with some imaginary alien foe. Every security outfit competes to feature in the entourage of our respective leaders. Then there are the support vehicles, including ambulances, bomb disposal vehicles and anti-tank machines
Everything is collapsing except the business of politics. Every government that comes to power seems to be in competition with previous governments in the craze to practice capitalism without capital. Clearly, this is not sustainable and we cannot continue like this. Something has to give. President Buhari must restore confidence again by allowing the change millions of Nigerians voted him for in March 2015 to begin from his desk.
It is commonly said that, “desperate times call for desperate measures.” Our time is now.

7 Reasons Why The War Against Insurgency Has Not Been Won

Naijaloaded lists seven reasons why the war against Boko Haram has not been won despite government efforts.
It is no longer news that there has been attacks on some communities by members of the Boko Haram terrorist sect.

The northeastern part of Nigeria has been the worst hit with scores killed and thousands displaced.
Despite huge allocation to security in the budget, the activities of the Nigerian Army and Civilian Joint Task Force, the war against insurgency has not been won.
Pulse lists seven reasons why the problem of insurgency still persists.

1. Almajiris:

Originally, the Almajiri are Quranic students. But in recent times, these group of young boys have been seen begging in major streets, markets and motor parks, thereby neglecting their primary duty which is to learn how to recite the Holy Quran.
With little or nothing to eat, drink and wear, these boys become extremely vulnerable and easily recruited by the Boko Haram sect.

2 . Deception:

Some Boko Haram members who were arrested have claimed ignorance of what they were going into.
While it has been alleged that some were hypnotised, others said they were deceived into ‘believing that they would be given ‘virgins to marry in paradise.’

3. Poor maintenance:

What most people do not know is that Sambisa (home of Boko Haram insurgent) used to be a games reserve. Yes! Due to poor maintenance, it became a forest.
Just like Sambisa, there are different forest especially in the north which has continued to pose security challenge to the region.
Birnin Gwari forest reserve, Kamaku national park, Ganjuwa, Lame-Burra, Falgore, Ajja and Yankari games reserve can become an easy hideout for terrorists if not well maintained.

4. Corruption :

The former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki was alleged to have shared funds meant for the purchase of arms to politicians during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
The arms deal scandal contributed to the prolong war against insurgency in Nigeria.

5. Division among the sect:

There has been leadership tussle within the Boko Haram sect since their leader, Abubakar Shekau was ‘killed’ by the Nigerian Army.
This has lead to the creation factions operating independently.

6. Chibok girls:

The abduction of over 200 girls from Government Secondary School, Chibok has contributed to the prolong existence of Boko Haram terrorist group.
Despite the attack on Boko Haram hideouts in the forest, security operatives have continued to exercise caution so as not to kill any of the girls.
Nigeria said it was committed to rescuing the 218 Chibok girls still held captive by Boko Haramplay.
Nigeria said it was committed to rescuing the 218 Chibok girls still held captive by Boko Haram

7. Saboteurs:

Former President Goodluck Jonathan allegedly said that they were saboteurs in his cabinet who did not want the war against insurgency to be won. It was also alleged that some security officers revealed useful information to the Boko Haram members.

He told the court that he strangled his victim after she had refused his advances and even begged him not to have s*x with her. His words: “It was a Sunday morning and after taking ‘ganja’, I saw the girl passing.

I called her and sent her to go and bring me my towel that had been hung behind my house. On her return, I told her that I wanted to sleep with her but she refused. I held her hand and she began struggling with me.

She begged and told me to let her go and started screaming. So I strangled her. I then took her to my room and slept with the body. Afterwards, I took the GH¢20 she had in her possession and used it to buy ‘ganja’.”

4 Reasons Why I Feel Arsenal Will Defeat Chelsea In The London Derby Today

The Arsenal/Chelsea match have always been a derby football fans around world love to watch because of the pedigree of both teams.
Arsene Wenger who has been manager of the Gunners for 20 years has not been having fair results against the Blues in recent years.
It has been Wenger against Mourinho in the past two years but this week’s episode will be against Premier League debutant Antonio Conte.
Here are the four reasons Arsenal will defeat Chelsea at the Emirates

1. The Gunners are on the ascendancy

Since their opening day loss to Liverpool, Arsenal have won three matches out of four in the Premier League against Watford, Southampton, and Hull City respectively.
Even in cup games such as the Champions League and the EFL Cup, the Arsene Wenger tutored side have improved as each game comes with a draw against PSG in Paris and a win away to Nottingham Forest.

2. Terry’s absence

Chelsea’s inspirational captain has been confirmed unavailable by Antonio Conte and the Italian is unhappy with the defender’s absence in the crucial fixture at the Emirates.
The Blues defence have not been too convincing this season as they have conceded 10 goals in seven matches in all competitions which could be to Arsenal’s psychological advantage.

3. Arsenal plays more as a unit

In the matches played so far, the Gunners have played more as a team in all of their matches with the influence of Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, the trio have inspired other players performances.
The collectiveness of the team have been so far laudable and will be important when they go into the match against the unsettled Chelsea side who usually wrestle from behind to win games.

4. Play on Costa’s frustration

Costa will be one man to watch in the South London derby with his bullish character and has the ability to frustrate a cool headed player into committing an offence worthy of a red card.

Arsenal have always displayed their huge appetite for goals and if they can go one or two goals up, attentions surrounding the Spanish striker will be of minimal effect in the match.
