Veteran Actress Funke Akindele a.k.a (JENIFA) Turns 40

Star actress Funke Akindele is 40 today. The actress who has made a lot of people happy through her acting prowess is thanking the Lord for making her a force to reckon with 


Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde popularly known as Funke Akindele “Jenifa” , She was born on this day August 1976 in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Funke Akindele worked in television before switching to cinema, becoming known for her starring role in the family-oriented Nigerian television show I Need to Know. Akindele’s qualifications include an OND in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic and a law degree from the University of Lagos.

Jenifa is a 2008 Nigerian Yoruba comedy-drama film starring Funke Akindele. The film received 4 nominations at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2008. Funke Akindele, the main protagonist of the film, won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in Leading Role for her role as Jenifa, since then the rest has been history.
