MAMA Awards 2016- All You Need To Know About The Event!! (Full Details)

Yep! Yep! The MTV MAMA Award show will take place this Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Ticket Pro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The 8-year award event will feature performances from various African top acts, including- Nasty C, Babes Wodumo, Yemi Alade , Ycee, Cassper Nyovest, Alikiba, Wizkid, DJ Maphorisa, C4 Pedro and Kenya music group Sauti Sol

Earlier, confirmation came of supposed MTV MAMA host Trevor Noah being replaced by South African TV personality Bonang Matheba due to health reasons.

America’s rapper FUTURE is a VIP for the event and will perform alongside our Nigerian artists.

Well Nigerian trio Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Wizkid are all nominated in the MTV MAMA Award show.

Falz, Simi, Tekno, Kiss Daniel and Burna Boy are other Nigerian acts up for awards.

Wizkid and Yemi Alade will face South Africa’s
Black Coffee, Kenyan group Sauti Sol, artist
Diamond from Tanzania for the prestigious Artist of the Year category.
In the Best Female award category , Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade will face Josey from Ivory Coast, Mz Vee from Ghana and Vanessa Mdee from Tanzania for the prize.
Tekno , who has had a scintillating 2016 will face Nigerian counterparts in Simi and Falz in the Best Breakthrough category.
We will also have our eyes on Kiss Daniel and
Burna Boy . The duo were nominated in the
listener’s choice awards category of the MTV MAMA Awards 2016.
